The Spanish classes taught by the Department of Sciences of Languages of ITCR, Costa Rica Institute of Technology one of the most prestigious Universities in Latin America (Click here to find more about ITCR).
The courses of Spanish as a second language are part of the cultural exchange program. They allow students to use language in an spontaneous way while the develop the skills of written and oral production as well as listening and reading comprehension.
Students learn Spanish along with the Costa Rican culture and experience the adventure of living in a Spanish speaking country. The program is organized around the most important topics and uses a dynamic interactive methodology.

- Costa Rican Literature
- Central American Literature
- Costa Rican Culture
- Popular Dance
- Visits to museums and places of historical interest, national parks and other tourist centers
- Workshops (forest, ecology, agronomy and recycling)
- Issues related to the TEC.
Teaching Specific Agreement Cultural Exchange Program for the Learning Of Spanish Between Kapi Kapi Costa Rica S.A. and Technology Foundation of Costa Rica, Cartago, Costa Rica.
For us it is very pleasant to announce that Kapi Kapi Costa Rica S.A. and FUNDATEC sign the Specific Agreement Agreement: Cultural Interchange Program for the Learning of Spanish between Kapi Kapi Costa Rica S.A. and Technological Foundation of Costa Rica, Cartago, Costa Rica
The objective of this agreement is to offer to foreign non-Spanish speakers, a Spanish language learning program, taught by professionals from the Technological Institute of Costa Rica ( lTCR) through FUNDATEC. Foreign non-Spanish speaking students will be contacted and / or brought by the Kapi Kapi Costa Rica.
The dates for the project include three periods of the year, and with this, the prices corresponding to the Program of Learning the Spanish as a second language taught by the lTCR with the help of FUNDATEC. These may vary per student depending on the hours:
- From 01 to 15 December
- From January 2 to 30
- From June 26 to July 24
The program includes: placement exams, Spanish classes of different levels, certified teachers in the teaching of Spanish, didactic tours during the week, workshops to practice conversation in the Spanish language.
Courses: students will have 4 hours of Spanish language classes, with a schedule of 9 am to 1 p.m. every day of the week for a total of 20 hours per week (80 total class hours)
Activities: Program staff will arrange activities per week and invite students to participate. These activities would include workshops on: conversation, cooking classes, dance classes and films.
Excursions: The Program will coordinate didactic excursions on Wednesdays to areas of Cartago.
